Iberimage.com is an online archive with contributions from several photographers (see: team), which is endeavouring to cover the photographic needs of Spain and Portugal, countries which have been visited almost from town to town, as well as features from all over the world. Together with our photographic stock the site will be constantly expanded and updated.

Iberimage has online photographs to purchase and immediate download through credit card payment. Additionally, it includes many references of other photos that are not available online but which can be ordered in low resolution for viewing.

Besides receiving the images you acquired by email, in "My downloads" you will be able to access them for immediate high resolution download for a certain period of time. You can access this area from anywhere when you need your images. In case you buy a Royalty Free CD it will be sent to you by ordinary post but you will also be able to access all the images in the CD in "My downloads" so you can have them in high resolution right away.

How to register:
By filling out a form in the User’s Register section you can have access to a series of possibilities: lightbox (favourites), shopping cart, formalization of purchase, online download, etc. All details gathered will be treated with complete privacy, and at no time will they be given to third parties or used for “unwanted mail”. If you change language you must login again (just username and password as used the first time you registered).

How to search:
We offer you several methods for using the search engine:

• Generic search: this searches the whole database for one or more of the words introduced.
• Key word search: this only looks for key words (faster).
• Search in Spain: this searches by autonomous regions and provinces, views all the photos –by activating the show-all checkbox – or limits the search with one text (for example: beach).
• Search by country: This shows all the countries available, and either “show-all” can be used or the search can be limited with one text.

Technical details of the pictures:
Iberimage.com provides both scanned transparencies and pictures made by digital cameras (the latter are identified by a code followed by an underscore dash and a three-digit number –e.g.: VA_155.jpg).
The pictures come in JPG format, with an average size of 1.5 Mb.
Size of the picture in Mb after its conversion to TIFF: between 20 and 25 Mb.
Size of picture in pixels: approximately 2,000 x 3,000 (digital photos) and approximately 2,300 x 3,600 (digitalised photos).
Approximate reproductions dimensions: 20 x 30 cm.

Payment Terms:
When you have chosen the pictures you want to purchase, payment can be made by credit card through the SSL (secure socket layer) payment system, through the Banco Popular (4B system). For security reasons Iberimage does not request or store payment details, with the whole payment procedure remaining in charge of the banking entity (Banco Popular). Iberimage only receives the authorisation code or, in its absence, the reason for the failure of the operation (card rejected, out of date, etc.) from the bank.

Transmission of pictures:
Once payment has been received, the selected pictures are sent by email. The average size of the JPEG format index cards is 1.5 Mb. In case you download several pictures a high bandwith internet connection is suggested.
